KidsOhio.org works hard to improve the education of Ohio’s children, but we cannot do this work alone. As a nonpartisan voice for Ohio’s children, KidsOhio.org does not accept government funds. Instead, we rely on the generosity of private-sector donors to fund our research and collaboration with school, business and community leaders. Donations to KidsOhio.org are used to underwrite original research on what Ohio families want from their schools, to identify ad disseminate best practices from around the country and to communicate the needs of Ohio School children to policymakers and the public.

Kids Ohio has:

1. Identified the reasons parents are leaving Columbus Public Schools for charter schools.
2. Analyzed discipline violations in the Columbus Public Schools and found that 7 percent of students commit the majority of offenses.
3. Polled the parents of Columbus students to identify what they like and don’t like about their children’s schools.
